I have been teaching since 1989 and have worked in a number of both Catholic and Non – Catholic schools in England and Australia. My main teaching experience has mainly been across KS2, although I have recently gained more experience in KS1( Year 2) .
I joined St Mary’s School in 2003 as a Job Share for Year 6 and Science Subject Lead. In 2008 I became SENco and support teacher for Upper KS2. As part of my SENco role I completed the SENco accreditation course in 2009. I also lead on Pupil Premium Children and English as an Additional Language. In January 2013 I became Deputy Head at St Mary’s and since September 2019 I have been Acting Head. In previous posts, I have been subject leader for Science, History and Geography. As well as teaching I have also worked as a Museum Guide and Education Officer in a Geological and Mining museum and on an Archaeological Dig.
