St Augustine's Class have filled their class marble jar yet again! For their Golden Time reward, they have voted for an Ancient Egypt Design and technology project - to design and make a shaduf! Miss Molloy is busy sourcing wood, saws, glue guns and all the other materials necessary for this project. She is wondering whether we have any shaduf experts among our wonderful and amazing parents who might be interested in coming in to help out....
St Augustine's Class are very excited about our trip to Bristol Museum on Tuesday 1st. The Ancient Egypt gallery is our destination, and we even get to participate in a special workshop, organised by the Museum staff there.
Thursday 18th February
On Thursday the 18th of February, some of St. Mary’s Chaplaincy Club went to Holy Family Parish Hall to share their Lenten reflections with four other Catholic Primary Schools from South Gloucestershire.
Each school took it in turns to explain what their reflection was about. Rhianwen and Isobella explained our reflection called “Offer it up to the Lord”.
This involved children writing down their worries on a piece of paper, rolling them into a scroll and then placing them into crosses.
