Thursday 8th October 2020- Learning about rocks
This term our topic is 'Rocks, Soils and Fossils'. We have been learning about the 3 types of rocks- Igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. To help us understand how these rocks are formed over millions of years, we used starbursts to act out the processes. It was a lot of fun.
Wednesday 7th October - Stone Age to Iron Age
In history, our topic is Stone Age to Iron Age. We have been working hard on understand the term 'prehistoric' and that this means it was before history got recorded down. We therefore have had to rely on archaeologists and cave paintings to understand what life was like. We pretended to be archaeologists and piece together artefacts to understand what may have happened. We have also pretended to be Stone Age people and have a go at cave paintings ourselves.
Friday 18th September - Our class information
As we are unable to hold class meetings this year I have recorded a video with the information that we normally share. There is also an information sheet in the box at the top of the page.
Monday 14th September 2020 - We are back!
Lots of outdoor and practical learning in year 3 to transition back into school and making the most of the drier weather whilst it lasts.
