Tuesday 19th October 2021 - What a busy Term 1!
St Augustine's Class quickly settled into Year 3, as has our new teacher, Mr Powell. Everyone has been working and learning so much. We have:-
- observed rocks and considered their properties;
- carried out a Chocolate Rocks Practical: Grating mild, dark and white chocolate to represent how Sedimentary rocks are formed, applying heat and pressure to represent Metamorphic rocks and melted it to represent Igneous rocks.
- Performed a Stone Age Period Drama: We acted out what it was like to live in different stages of the stone age, Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic, the rest of the class had to guess which part we were acting
- And we wrote letters of complaint explaining to Mr. Powell why he should give our chairs back because he took them away.
