Celebrating Excellence through our Faith and Learning
Welcome to Year 4 - Mrs Webster and Miss Fitzgerald's class.
Please see below a Topic Overview of what we will be learning in Term 3, the yearly Curriculum Overview and the current Knowledge Organiser.
26th November 2018 - Brass Concert
In year 4, we were given the opportunity to learn a new instrument and this was the French Horn. This is one of the more tricky brass instruments to learn, but we really enjoyed it. Even Mrs Webster had a go at this!
Our teacher, Alice was really impressed with us and we were able to learn several different notes and put them together to perform some simple tunes. We finished our learning with a concert that we performed to some other classes and to parents.
19th October 2018 - Glastonbury Abbey
To prepare for our learning on Anglo Saxons next term, Year 4 visited Glastonbury Abbey. We learnt all about quills and illumination and got to appreciate how hard it is to write with a quill! We visited the Abbot’s kitchen and garden, learning all about what they would have grown and eaten in the Saxon times. We also had a tour of the Abbey and had the opportunity to dress as a Saxon!
We all had a fantastic day!
